Creatives need inspiration. Pinterest is great, but it can also be limiting. Endless scrolling through someone else’s work can only take you so far. I’m personally guilty of having multiple accounts, and I’m also guilty of having an absolutely insane camera roll. Between documenting projects, everyday life, and all the little things that catch my eye, it’s become a running archive of inspiration. There’s something different about photographing something yourself. An added personal perspective. So, consider this a ploy to get you to take photos of everything. If you need an idea of what to take photos of, here are some categories.
Aesthetic
Most inspiration probably falls into this category. It’s the image you save because you like the way everything comes together, even if you can’t quite explain why.
Color
Tone, palette, or mood. Color has the ability to completely change how something feels.
Texture
Visual character. You just want to reach out and touch it!
Visual Library
